Before we start working together, I offer a free 20-minute consultation. This is a chance for us to talk about what's going on, for you to get a sense of how I work, and to see if we're a good fit. There's no commitment and no pressure. Sometimes just having that initial conversation helps clarify whether therapy is the right step for you.
I'm an integrative psychotherapist, which simply means I don't stick to one rigid method. Instead, I draw from different approaches depending on what you need.
Sometimes we might explore existential questions about meaning and identity. Other times, we might look at how your past is showing up in the present, or use solution-focused techniques to help you move forward. I also use creative methods when words aren't enough, including art therapy, visualisation and sand play.
What matters most is creating a safe space where you feel accepted and heard. From there, we can explore the patterns that might be getting in your way. I work on the understanding that meaningful change comes from understanding the origins of a problem, not just managing symptoms.
Life can become overwhelming for all sorts of reasons. Grief that won't shift, relationships that keep falling into the same painful patterns, or anxiety that's taken over. You may just have a sense that you're not really living the life you want, but you can't quite work out why.
Individual therapy gives you space to explore what's really happening beneath the surface. We work together to understand the roots of difficulties, not just manage symptoms. Some people come for a few months to work through something specific. Others stay longer, using therapy to reshape deeper patterns. It's open-ended and led by what you need.
Sessions are 50 minutes, either in person at my practice in Oxted or online via video call.
I work with children from age 8 and teenagers who are struggling with self-harm, anxiety, big life transitions or simply feeling overwhelmed by their emotions.
For children and young people, we start with an initial consultation with the parent or carer, without the child present. This gives me a chance to understand what's happening and what support might help. Once we begin sessions, I work directly with the young person, using a mix of talking therapy and creative approaches depending on what suits them.
For under-16s, I keep parents broadly updated on progress without breaking confidentiality about what's actually discussed in sessions. It's important that young people have a space that feels truly theirs.
Sessions can be in person, online or as Walk and Talk therapy if being outdoors feels easier than sitting in a room.
Some people find it easier to talk when they're moving. There's something about walking side by side, rather than sitting face to face, that can make difficult conversations feel more natural. I offer Walk and Talk therapy across all my services, walking around the Warlingham and Oxted area. It's particularly helpful for people who feel restless sitting still, who process things better when moving, or who simply prefer being outdoors.
If you're parenting a child with special educational needs, you'll know how exhausting and confusing the system can be. I offer two types of support here. You don't have to fight this alone.
I can work with you as a parent to manage the emotional weight of advocating for your child or working directly with young people who are struggling with feeling different or misunderstood.
I offer practical support navigating the SEND system. This includes understanding EHCPs (Education, Health and Care Plans), preparing for annual reviews, knowing your rights with schools and local authorities, accessing SENDIAS support, and representation at tribunals when needed. The initial consultation for SEND legal advice is £100 per hour, and we can discuss what ongoing support might look like from there.
The free initial consultation is a good place to start. We can talk through what's happening and work out whether therapy feels right for you. No pressure, just an honest conversation.
